This is day one of baseball's first-year player draft. If you wish, you can watch a media circus that will make you sick.
The player draft is one of the biggest nonevents of the year. An eager team of TV hotshots will do everything they can to make something out of nothing.
Appropriately, all this baloney will issue forth from yet another Walt Disney theme park, where nothing is real but the money tourists waste there.
If you follow this media frenzy on the Internet or tune in to this or that channel of ESPN, keep it mind that you will never hear another thing about almost all 1588 players who will briefly parade into and out of your consciousness.
Thanks to Bud Sigel, the first-year player draft has been exaggerated into another money maker for Major League Baseball.
If you want to watch it, have fun. I'll take a nap.
