Cubs Versus Padres

It's the top of the eighth inning at Wrigley Field, and the Padres lead the Cubs 9-3.

I remain guardedly optimistic about the game. If a tornado touches down on the field and blows the Padres away, the win may go to the Cubs.

And of course, there's always the possibility that a brawl may break out, leading to the ejection of all San Diego players, in which case the Cubs would win by default.

With our north side favorites, anything is possible.
