I'm listening as Pat Hughes and Ron Santo call the Cubs game with Colorado. The Cubs are on the way to their fourth win in a row as they lead Colorado 8-3 at the end of eight innings.
One of the treats in this game is that Mike Fontenot has just gone five for five at the plate. Earlier this year, he was playing for Triple-A Iowa.
And the veteran Angel Pagan hit a three-run homer tonight. With players like these, dare we hope that the Cubs will finish above .500?
