The Cubs won't play until 7:05 PM tonight, when the Colorado Rocks come to town. So I have to find a way to waste time until then.
The easiest way for me to waste time is to play fantasy baseball. I'll simply go online and check my standings in the 2007 Open.
In a league with twelve teams, my team is in seventh place and shows no likelyhood of gaining. After one week of play, the first-place team has 205.5 points. I have 162.5 points, which means I have no chance in a hail storm of ever catching the leader. The Cubs will win the World Series before I ever get out of seventh place.
The players on my team include Jorge Posada, Derrek Lee, and Placido Polanco. All the others are so obscure that you've never heard of them. If they ever start scoring any points, I'll try to learn their names.
