Cubs Hit and Punch

Carlos Zambrano allowed only five hits as the Cubs beat the Brew Boys 6-2 on Wednesday.

Felix Pie, recently called up from triple-A Iowa, demonstrated that he enjoys the game as he punched out three hits (one a homer), stole a base, and scored three runs.

But, of course, the big news was what didn't happen.

Zambrano didn't punch anyone (a least not on camera).

Michael Barrett didn't catch (and therefore didn't get punched).

And Lou Piniella finished his last game in the penalty box (and therefore didn't kick any caps or dirt).

Join the Cubs Thursday evening at Atlanta, when Piniella, Zambrano, and Barrett will all have to coexist in the same dugout.
