Capella University now offers a B.S. in Public Safety. In addition to this new Bachelor of Science, Capella also provides eight new graduate and undergraduate specializations in programs such as information technology, psychology, business, and education.
Capella's School of Education has introduced a new specialization in Special Education Leadership. Pamela Potter, president of the National Association of Pupil Services Administrators, points out that students who hope to pursue the Ph.D. in special education need just the kind of focus this new specialization provides. As she states, such a specialization would prepare students for "the actual job that must be done."
The Harold Abel School of Psychology at capella university also offers the M.S. degree with three new areas of specialization. Garvey House, dean of the school, believes that these new specializations will improve the degree programs offered by the school.
Capella also announces that it offers new specializations in Information Technology and Business. All these new programs are now open for enrollments.
Capella university provides 89 areas of specialization and 16 certificate programs. Capella is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. For more information, log on to capella.edu, or call 1-888-CAPELLA (227-3552).
