Automobile Diesel Engines

If you have ever smelled the exhaust fumes from a diesel engine, you and I have something in common. That smell is one thing I don’t need on a regular basis. Therefore, I’m happy to report that help is on the way.

Isuzu and Toyota have agreed to pool their resources to design and manufacture a small diesel engine for cars. Their shared goal is to produce a new diesel engine that is both efficient and environmentally friendly. If it is environmentally friendly, it will, assumedly, also be friendly to my nose and lungs.

Isuzu is already one of the world’s largest producers of diesel engines. As such, it continually strives to improve the fuel economy, durability, and torque of these engines. By working with Toyota, Isuzu hopes to design and manufacture the best diesel engine in the world.

Isuzu also manufactures vehicles such as the crew cab pickup, which is powered by a traditional gasoline engine. Many of the company’s passenger cars also have gasoline engines.
