Various heros are saying that the Chicago Cubs are the dark horse of the National League. New Moon fears that the dark horses may disappear into the dark night above Lake Michigan.
We all have the greatest hopes for the Cubs, but let's try to keep things in perspective. The Cubs haven't won a pennant since before the Titanic sank, and that was a hell of a long time ago. I, the editor of New Moon, can hardly remember it.
