The Cubs lost to the Giants Tuesday night, but let's not dwell on bad news. We'll have plenty of opportunities for that later.
Kerry Wood pitched again for the Mesa Rookie League team in Mesa, Arizona, on Tuesday. He threw 17 pitches in one inning. He gave up one run on two hits and struck out one.
Most important of all, Wood reported that his arm felt fine. He will continue pitching on a rehab basis during two more games this week.
