Cartoon Satirizes Royal Family

The Spanish magazine El Jueves has published a cartoon that satirizes Crown Prince Felipe of Spain. A nervous Spanish judge says this insults the royal family and is therefore illegal. Slandering the royal family carries a sentence of two years in jail, and Judge Juan del Olmo insists that the magazine must name the person who drew the cartoon. The judge wants to throw the guy into a dungeon for two years.

Speaking as an American, I find it ludicrous that any European country still has a royal family. My country rebelled against the idiotic English king in the 18th century, and my country won the subsequent Revolutionary War. Spain needs a similar revolution.
