Honda Radiators

If you own a Honda automobile, consider yourself lucky. You’re driving one of the most reliable cars on the road today. As long as you keep it in good repair, it will provide you with good transportation for years to come.

As you know, relatively minor radiator problems can lead to other problems that are far more serious. If the coolant does not circulate properly throughout the engine, the heat that results can, in the worse cases, destroy your engine block.

But long before anything like that happens, you can contact Radiators.com for your new Honda Radiator. Radiators.com is the biggest distributors of radiators in the United States. It has over 60,000 different radiators and air-conditioner condensers in stock at any one time, including the right match for your make or model.

Raditors.com has a team of experts ready to take your call thirteen hours a day, seven days a week. And each radiator comes with an unlimited lifetime warranty. For more information, call 1-800-395-3889.

Letterman Returns

Fearing additional loss of income, David Letterman instructed people representing him to negotiate an interim agreement with the writers for his late-night talk show. They have done that, and Letterman's show will return to its regular schedule on Wednesday.

I dislike Letterman's style, so I won't be watching. But maybe you will. Enjoy the show.

The entire staff will return. The event should be quite jolly.

Child Custody Dispute

Most people involved in a child-custody suit would arrive on time to give a deposition. Britney Spears is not like most people. In the matter of Federline v. Spears, she didn't even show up for the deposition scheduled for December 12.

This is not the sort of behavior that convinces a judge to rule in your favor.

Mark Vincent Kaplan, the attorney for Federline, said he would try again to get Britney's deposition early next week. Good luck, Mark.

Rosie Annoys

Rosie O'Donnell has been elected the most annoying rich and famous celebrity for 2007. She is such a bonehead that it's really hard to believe that she exists.

The readers of
Parade Magazine gave Rosie 50 percent of their vote. Paris Hilton came in second with 24 percent.

Rosie acknowledges that she's annoying. "I'm loud," she said. However, in her defense, Rosie says that Barbra Streisand likes her.

Blair Is Gone

Why did someone as intelligent as Tony Blair throw away his career just to please George Bush? It doesn't make sense. Blair is smart, witty, well-educated, and a good speaker. Bush has none of those qualities.

The UK electorate finally got sick of the Bush-Cheney war. The Labor Party selected a new prime minister, Gordon Brown. He promises to reduce the number of UK troops involved in the conflict.

Wedding Plans

Weddings can be wonderful, but they can also be stressful. There are so many things to remember. You have to plan the wedding itself, the reception that follows, and everything having to do with all the people who take part in the wedding.

Sam Fuld

The word from the Cubs is that outfielder Sam Fuld had a good season in the Arizona Fall League. Like every other player in the Cub farm system, he hopes to win a regular spot on the Cub roster for the 2008 season. Fuld is hard to forget. He made a spectacular catch against the ivy during a brief sojourn at Wrigley in 2007.

Watch Out for Birds

Just when you thought all the worst stuff had already happened, word comes from the West Coast that a pet store in Washington sold diseased birds that can spread psittacosis to humans. Psittacosis is usually mild in people, but it can become serious if it remains untreated.

The birds were sold by twenty PetSmart stores in the state, possibly starting as long ago as October.

Payday Loans

I can’t remember how many times I’ve found myself in need of some extra cash long before payday. A person simply cannot predict what unexpected expenses may come up halfway through the month. When this happens, you can’t just ask your next-door neighbor for the cash you need. You need to look for an alternative source of money.

If you find yourself in this position and you live in Montana, CheckCity.com now offers its services in your state. This lending firm is one of the fastest-growing online payday loan companies in the United States. Each state individually licenses such companies, thereby giving the consumer confidence that the lender will remain in business and that it follows the laws of that state.

Before applying for a CheckCity.com online loan, be sure to click “Disclosures” to find out the loan cost and the annual percentage rate for your state. These simple procedures will make you a better borrower. For more information, visit CheckCity.com or call (866)294-4672.

The next time you need a cash advance, take a look at CheckCity.com.

Drunk In Miami

Another rich and famous bonehead has joined the growing list of celebrities who drink and drive. Armando Perez (AKA Pitbull) was arrested in Miami after driving 93 miles per hour as he passed a parked patrol car. The police pulled him over and smelled more than applesauce on his breath.

The police gave Perez a sobriety test, which he failed like a freshman in Intro to Algebra. Perez was booked for DUI and spent the night in jail.

Wrigley Field

Sam Zell, the new owner of the Tribune Company, says he plans to sell the Cubs and Wrigley Field before the start of the 2008 season. He also said he would sell the right to rename the ballpark. He thinks this is a great idea. Here at New Moon, we think it stinks.

Zell said he could make a pile of money by selling the name of the park. Maybe Standard Oil could buy the rights and rename the park the Exxon Valdez. Zell is a real estate hot shot. Maybe he could name the park "Foreclosure Field."

Cancun Vacations

Winter has arrived in the American north, and a familiar weather pattern has emerged. First it snows. Then it gets cold. Then it snows again. Maybe it’s time for a vacation in warm Cancun.

Humor And Testosterone

Professor Sam Shuster, an English physician, decided to ride his unicycle down the streets of Newcastle upon Tyne. As he rode, he recorded the reactions of people who saw him. He found that most women made encouraging remarks. Most men made jokes.

Men tend to make more jokes than women, Shuster says, and men make jokes that are more aggressive than women's jokes. Dr. Shuster says the easiest explanation for this lies in the male hormone testosterone.

All of Dr. Shuster's observations about male and female humor can be found in the lastest issue of the British Medical Journal.

Tom Is Out

Tom Tancredo has dropped out of the Republican race for president. In all honesty, those of us on the editorial staff at New Moon had never heard of Tom before he dropped out. This raises the possibility that dropping out may have been the most newsworthy thing Tom has ever done.

Maybe more politicians should drop out. How about Bush and Cheney? Why don't they resign? That would make lots of people happy. In fact, why don't all the current office holders resign? They've really made a mess of things. Begone! All of you! Let's start over.

College Accreditation

No matter where or how you pursue your higher education, you need to make sure that your college or university has the necessary accreditation from the appropriate institutions. If you’re considering an online university, you can take a look at Capella University’s latest Inside Online Education podcast.

This podcast features Dr. Chris Cassirer, dean of Capella University’s School of Human Services. In the podcast, Dr Cassirer points out that Capella is the first online university to have won accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). This accreditation relates specifically to two master’s degree specializations.

The Capella podcasts usually last about 15 minutes. You can find them at http://www.capellacommons.com. Or you can subscribe to them at iTunes. Potential students should also note that Capella University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). Capella meets all the typical requirements for college accreditation.

Capella University offers bachelor’s degrees in business, information technology, and public safety. Capella also provides graduate degrees in seven different subject areas. In addition, Capella offers 104 specialization areas and 15 certificate programs. Capella provides high-quality academic programs to over 20,000 students from throughout the United States and in 56 foreign countries.

Amy Winehouse

In our never-ending survey of rich and famous boneheads, we turn to the case of Amy Winehouse and husband Blake Fielder-Civil. Both Blake and Amy may have to do some serious jail time. Someone named Michael Brown may also have to bunk in one of London's slammers.

The trouble began when Blake and Michael allegedly attacked James King, the landlord of an east London pub. Amy was arrested Tuesday and charged with perverting the course of justice. After her arrest, she was released on bail. Blake wasn't so lucky. He's still in the slammer.

Subway Fares

It seems like only yesterday that a ride on the New York subway cost only a nickle. For a nickle more, you could go all the way to Far Rockaway. Today the price is $2, and now the Metropolitan Transit Authority says it's going even higher, although no one is saying exactly how much or when.

Maybe it's time to get the old bicycle out of the basement.

Capella University

Ample evidence exists that education equates with income. In most cases, the more education you receive, the greater your income will be. It is also true that education makes you more aware of human history in all its triumphs and its failures.

Many people would like to extend their learning, but lack the time and freedom to attend classes on a traditional campus. These individuals have all the motivation needed, but their work or family responsibilities may hold them back.

Since 1993, capella university has helped students meet their educational goals through online study. From that date to the present, Capella has grown to where it now offers bachelor’s degrees in business, information technology, and public safety. Capella also provides graduate degrees in seven different subject areas. In addition, Capella offers 104 specialization areas and 15 certificate programs.

Capella University now provides high-quality academic programs to almost 20,000 students from throughout the United States and 56 countries. For more information about Capella’s courses and programs, logon to http://www.capella.edu or call 1.888.CAPELLA (227.3552).

Iraq War

Not content with the number of groups at war in the Middle East, the Bush-Cheney duo has brought Turkey into the action. The Turks bombed mountain villages in the Kurdish section of northern Iraq, then followed this act of heroism with a ground invasion.

The Kurds want greater autonomy. The Bush-Cheney team says this amounts to terrorism. Turkey's ambassador to the U.S. announced today that the CIA helped plan and direct the attacks.

Cubs Sign Fukudome

Jim Hendry made it official today. The Chicago Cubs have signed Japanese all-star Kosuke Fukudome to a four-year contract. Fukudome has a lifetime .305 batting average with the Chunichi Dragons in Japan's Central League.

Fukudome bats lefthanded and throws righthanded. The Cubs have not kept secret their desire to sign the outfielder if he decided to play in North America. The Cub lineup has too many righthanded hitters for the team's win-loss record. If all goes as planned, Fukudome will redress that problem.

Fukudome is also a four-time gold glove winner.

Mitchell Report

The committee has finished its work on drug use in major-league baseball, and the Mitchell Report is in. Of the players mentioned, some were predictable--Barry Bonds, for example. Others, like Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte, don't fit the image of the steroid-bloated slugger. The were lots of surprises.

Fortunately, none of the current Cub players was mentioned in the report. Past players include Todd Hundley, Kent Mercker, and Matt Karchner. None of these players seem likely users of performance-enhancing drugs, and the committee made no final judgements.

Performance-Enhancing Drugs

Former Senator George Mitchell will report today on his committee's investigation into the use of performance-enhancing drugs in major-league baseball. We're not talking about aspirin tablets here. We're talking about things like anabolic steroids. The committee has studied the matter for the last 20 months.

The report is scheduled for 1:00 PM Central Standard Time. If you care about the future of baseball in North America, pay attention to the contents of the Mitchell Report.

Mitt and Mike

The two Republicans leading the race don't like each other. Now they've started a religious war. Mitt is a Mormon and Mike isn't. They don't understand each other, or maybe they understand too much. Mike doesn't like Mitt's TV ads. Mitt doesn't like anything about Mike.

Luckily, these two agree about one thing. They don't think waterboarding is torture. And they're glad Bush prevented the increase in cigarette taxes.

Veto

Bush has done it again. He vetoed the children's health insurance bill. The guy wants three trillion dollars for a senseless war, but not one dime for poor children. What will he do next?

His justification for doing all this is the thinking of an imbecile. He doesn't want to raise the cigarette tax. What part of Cactus Flat did this monkey come from? From the rich part.

General Condition

Britney Spears was supposed to give a deposition at the office of her ex-husband's lawyer today, but she couldn't make it. Mark Kaplan, the lawyer, stated that Britney missed the appointment because of a "general condition," by which he meant her ill health.

I can sympathize with Britney when this kind of problem arises. I've had a general condition for years. It has really slowed me down. I don't have enough money, I couldn't get a good job, and my wife got a divorce.

People should give Britney and me a break. We both have a general condition.

Cub Fans Rejoice

Kosuke Fukudome has signed a four-year contract with the Chicago Cubs. The left-handed outfielder is exactly the player the Cubs want for right field. He will arrive in Chicago next week to complete a physical exam.

Fukudome has played his entire career with the Chunichi Dragons, where he compiled a lifetime batting average of .305. He won the batting championship two times in Japan's Central League.

The editorial board at New Moon is certain that, with the addition of Fukudome, the Cubs will win the 2008 World Series.

Sea World Tickets

Orlando, Florida, is a vacation destination for people of all ages. The children will definitely want to visit Walt Disney World, with its four theme parks and two water parks. Mom and dad may find a dinner show like Arabian Nights especially inviting after a long day. And everyone will enjoy Universal Studios, Sea World, and the Kennedy Space Center.

Because of the large number of tourist stops in Orlando, the visitor can find the numerous options for admission tickets far too confusing. One solution to this confusing situation is to go online and obtain your tickets from Orlandofuntickets.com. That’s where you’ll find the best deal for Sea World Tickets. Sea World is different from any other theme park in America.

Orlandofuntickets.com also offers the lowest discount prices for all dinner shows and major theme parks. These popular attractions include Walt Disney World, Islands of Adventure, Pirates Dinner Adventure, and many others.

Improvements in Iraq?

There have been recent reports that the situation in Iraq is getting better. We hope this is true. The amount of violence has gone down. Fewer bombings in the street have occurred. Will this trend continue?

Three bombs exploded today in Basra, where violence has recently diminished. Some Iraqis fear that the violence will return once the Americans leave.

Have our leaders gotten us into another situation, like Viet Nam, where those leaders simply don't understand the history and the people of the country that we are allegedly are trying to save?

Gitmo Trials

Martin Scheinin, a Finnish law professor, has reported on his observations of the trial of Salid Ahmed Hamdan, who is incarcerated at the U.S prison at Guantanamo Bay. Scheinin told the U.N. Human Rights Council today that it would be impossible for anyone to mount an adequate defense at the prison, given that no one can bring witnesses from abroad. Moreover, the defense cannot even call other detainees at the prison camp as witnesses.

Scheinin also said the U.S. would need to allow him to conduct unmonitored interviews with prisoners at U.S. camps before he could provide a complete assessment of conditions at those prisons.

VoIP Call Center Phone Systems

Your business cannot afford an outdated telephone system. A missed call can add up to a lost sale. And you don’t want to offend a customer you already have by losing track of a call. On the other hand, a new telephone system can drain your organization of cash now and more cash later.

Xpander Communications now supplies VoIP Call Center Phone Systems at a cost that will make you glad you didn’t buy a traditional system at a traditional price. In addition to that, the system can be ready to use in only seven working days.

If you want to make changes in your telephone network later, it will cost you nothing for labor or maintenance. Forget about the costs associated with conventional PBX systems. You will have already paid for any moves or expansions your business needs.

To learn more about Xpander’s VoIP Call Center Phone Systems, call 866-954-5204. Or logon to XpanderCommunications.com.

CIA Operative Talks

It's quite refreshing when a former C.I.A. agent drops the phony veil of secrecy and tells you what you already knows. That's what ex-spy John Kiriakou did when he described "waterboarding" and then said that the practice is a form of torture.

It's too bad the new attorney general can't see what the rest of us can. I can't explain anything the president and vice-president might say. They use a form of English that wasn't around when I learned how to talk.

New Moon At Gitmo

What would I do if federal agents suddenly broke into my house and hauled me off to a prison camp in the Caribbean, claiming all the while that I posed a terrorist threat to the United States? What if my interrogators used "aggressive techniques"?

Would I bravely continue to protest my innocence? Would I give my interrogators the name of someone I knew just to make them less aggressive? Or would I do what
Abdul Rahman el-Amri did. He killed himself in May of this year.

Three other men took their own lives in June 2006.

George Bush repeated today that the United States does not torture prisoners.

Fox Pleads No Contesto

Actress Vivica A. Fox has pleaded no contest to the charge of drunk driving and being an all-round pain in the bottom. She originally pleaded not guilty in September. The whole issue goes back to March 20, when Miz Fox was arrested after passing a police car at 80 miles per hour on a Los Angeles freeway. She took the "free" part of "freeway" a little too literally.

Fox was sentenced to three years probation and fined $1200. Because she's rich and famous, she probably won't miss the money.

Kosuke Fukudome

The Japanese press has reported that Kosuke Fukudome will not play baseball next season in Japan. If this is true, the only logical conclusion is that he wants to play for a North American team. The 30-year-old outfielder has a lifetime batting average of .305.

The Cubs have make no secret of their desire to add Fukudome to their roster. Fukudome bats left, and the Cubs are top heavy with right-handed hitters. But before the Cubbies order a uniform for this lefty, they have to compete with some other major-league teams, including the White Sox.

Find Hotels in Spanish

If you’ve ever traveled abroad, you know how difficult it is to find the right accommodations, especially if you don’t speak the language of the host country. The same problem arises for the Spanish-speaking individual who is trying to find a good hotel room in the United States. It isn’t easy to obtain directions from an American who speaks only English.

Now there’s a better way. A new website can help Spanish-speaking travelers find the perfect Hoteles before they ever leave home. Hotels.com offers the best in customer service to Spanish-speaking travelers throughout the United States.

British Resident Freed From Torture Camp

The Bush-Cheney government says Omar Deghayes is a terrorist. The man's family and the British government say it's a case of mistaken identity.

Deghayes was a Libyan refugee living in England with his family until his arrest in Pakistan five years ago. U.S. operatives kidnapped him and took him to the notorious prison camp at Guantanamo Bay.

Mr. Deghayes is a lawyer. His brother thanked the British government for gaining the man's release, noting that it will end five years of "torture and misery."

Will We Attack Iran?

Do Geo. Bush and Dick Cheney intend to attack Iran? The people at DontAttackIran.com think they do, and they don't like the idea one bit.

If you agree with the people at this web address, you can log on and sign a petition for the Joint Chiefs of Staff
and All U.S. military personnel urging them to refuse an illegal order to attack Iran. If you don't agree, you might not want to log on at all.

The editorial staff at New Moon is undecided about this issue, and we cannot give any advice about it. We are passionately undecided. Don't ask us what to do.

Credit Cards

In times like these, with credit problems in real estate and questions about the solvency of the federal government itself, what can an individual do to protect his or her own credit record? Congress recently held hearings about the inexplicable practices of various lenders. In this environment, how can you find a credit card that really meets your needs?

A good credit card is a great convenience. But how do you find out which credit card is best for you? Most of us receive offers for new credit cards almost every week. Bonds Says Not Guilty

Six lawyers stood behind Barry Bonds on Friday as he pleaded not guilty to charges that he lied to a federal grand jury when he said that he had not used performance-enhancing drugs while playing for the San Francisco Giants. It's already obvious to every baseball fan in the United States that he's guilty, but the man deserves his day in court.

If found guilty, Bonds could be sentenced to as long as 2.5 years in jail. And his home run record will always have an asterisk.

Congress Burned Up About Tapes

Members of Congress are burned up by the news that the CIA destroyed videotapes that showed its operatives torturing prisoners. They simply don't believe that the CIA destroyed the tapes to protect the identity of the torturers. "That excuse won't wash," Senator Edward Kennedy said.

Senator Richard Durbin of Illinois called for an investigation to determine if the CIA broke the law by destroying evidence.

Geo. Bush continues to say that he doesn't know anything about it.

Hernia Mesh Lawsuit

As early as 2002, many patients who had received hernia-repair surgery began to complain about painful symptoms that arose after their surgery. This problem may have stemmed from the Kugel Hernia Mesh Patch used during the operation. This patch was designed to improve operations and to reduce the number of post-surgical problems. Unfortunately, some patches did not appear to work properly.

The law firm of Mark and Associates presently represents people who have experienced pain as a result of the faulty hernia patches. According to this law firm, the maker of Kugel Hernia Mesh Patches, Davol, Inc., originally stated that the problems patients experienced resulted from doctor error, not faulty patches. In 2005, Davol completed tests which proved that the patches were defective.

Because many patients don’t know which kind of patch was used during their hernia surgery, they may not know if they should pursue legal remedies as a result of the painful discomfort they have experienced. If you presently suffer from persistent pain as a result of hernia surgery, you should consider contacting Mark and Associates, P.C., to ask for a free consultation. You may have grounds for a Hernia Mesh Lawsuit.

Bush Denies Knowledge of Torture Tapes

The CIA has destroyed the videotapes that would have proven that the U.S. uses torture in its interrogation of prisoners of war. Bush and Cheney previously authorized use of "enhanced interrogation techniques." These techniques include sleep deprivation, extreme cold, hitting, waterboarding, and other forms of torture.

Now Bush claims that he "did not remember" anything about the tapes. He may also deny that he authorized the techniques used. When all else fails, you can always lie.

CIA Torture Fallout

The CIA torture of prisoners in the prison camp at Guantanamo Bay has created a public-relations nightmare for the Bush-Cheney administration. Rumsfeld and others were involved in giving the green light for torture, but they're no longer on the job.

In an attempt to correct the mess they caused by permitting torture, the Bush-Cheney crowd has ordered the release of four British residents from the camp. Three will return to the UK. One will return to his native Saudi Arabia.

This sort of embarrassment is likely to increase in the future, especially now that it has been revealed that high-level CIA officials destroyed videotapes that would have revealed their complicity with the torturers.

Bonds Pleads Not Guilty

Barry Bonds appeared in federal court in San Francisco today, where he pleaded not guilty to four counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice. These charges arise from his alleged use of steroids to improve his performance as a baseball player.

During the 2007 baseball season, Bonds increased his career home-run record to 762, more than any other player in major league history. The charges stem from an appearance Bonds made before a federal grand jury in 2003, where he repeatedly denied that he had ever used steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs. According to the indictment, Bonds committed perjury 19 times at the grand jury hearing.

Barry's home run record is starting to look a bit tarnished.

Lou Piniella

All Cub fans are familiar with Lou Piniella's managerial skills, but what kind of ballplayer was he? New Moon has gathered a few facts.

Lou played outfielder in the big leagues for 18 years. As a right-handed hitter, he recorded a career batting average of .291, hammered 102 home runs, and drove in 766 runs.

While playing for Kansas City in 1969, Piniella became the American League Rookie of the Year, hitting .282, slamming 11 home runs, and collecting 68 RBIs.

CIA Tapes Destroyed

CIA operative Michael Hayden admitted Thursday that in 2005 the CIA had destroyed videotapes showing interrogations of prisoners at the notorious Guantanamo Bay POW camp. The September 11 Commission appointed by G. Bush and the Congress had previously asked the CIA for any such tapes. The CIA said none existed. The commission completed its work in 2004. According to Hayden, the tapes were not destroyed until 2005.

Hayden offered few details about the tapes, but "knowledgeable U.S. officials" told reporters that the tapes showed hours of "aggressive interrogation methods." These methods include sleep deprivation, waterboarding, and other forms of what sane people call torture.

No Rice For Iran

The U.S. spy machine reports that Iran shows no interest in making nuclear weapons now or in the future. Therefore, Geo. Bush sent Condi Rice to chat with the boys of NATO. Geo. told her she should convince the boys that they should demand that the U.N. impose sanctions on Iran for developing nuclear weapons. They should ignore the fact that Iran is not doing what the spies report that it's not doing. In other words, even if Iran is not making nuclear weapons, we must still ask for sanctions just as if Iran were actually still making nuclear weapons.

Miz Rice made this request, and the boys of NATO agreed.

Isn't this confusing? How come I can't explain this better?

Late-Night Salaries

Because of the strike by both the Writers Guild East and the Writers Guild West, talk-show hosts like Jay Leno don't do much these days. Because their shows are now screening only reruns, the TV companies aren't paying the staff members for the late-night shows. In order to keep their staffs around until production starts again, four of the hosts are paying their staff members out of their own pockets. Estimates of how much they're paying go as high as $250,000 per week. Both Jay Leno and David Letterman are paying their staff members.

All this raises a question. If these guys can pay their staff members $250,000 a week, exactly how much do the hosts make? The editorial staff at New Moon did a little research, and we found out that David Letterman is the highest-paid talk-show host. He makes $35 million a year.

$35 million? David Letterman isn't worth $35 hundred. Prolong the strike, writers. Maybe Letterman will give up and go away.

Credit-Card Catastrophe

Testimony given before a Congressional committee earlier this week will give consumers a piece of scary but crucial news. Janet Hard of Freeland, Michigan, recounted how the interest on her credit-card debt suddenly jumped from 18 percent to 24 percent. She contacted Discover, the company that issued the card, and pointed out that she had never missed a payment and had always paid on time.

It turned out that Ms. Hard's interest rate went up because her credit score went down, although no one could tell here why her credit score went down. When Discover learned that Ms. Hard was going to appear before a Congressional committee, it lowered her interest back to 18 percent.

Software Security

In the second half of the twentieth century, the use of computers in both the home and business increased dramatically. As we can now see, it was inevitable that popular culture would soon put a computer into every plot or story. Science fiction went wild with computers. Almost every science-fiction book, movie, or television show had to have a computer, and that computer often did impossible things. Star Trek had more computers than the IRS.

In the real world, computers don’t do impossible things, but there are many people who want to get inside your computer files and steal everything they can find. As people increase their use of computers for home and office, the security of these computers becomes a growing problem. Cyber-crime grows as the number of computers grows. Computer criminals go after both family and business computers.

When it comes to security for your computer system, one type definitely does not fit all. Whether you are a consumer or the owner of a small or midsized business, you need the correct computer security software for each type of threat to your computer and the data it contains. The varieties of security software include Anti Virus, Anti Spyware, Exploits, and Firewalls.

Software Security Solutions offers a complete security software package for your system. This firm advocates use of different Internet and computer security products, depending on the nature of your computer system. One example would be NOD32 Antivirus. This type of computer security is known as a layered security solution.

People find that the Software Security Solutions approach to computer security gives them the protection they need at an affordable cost. Software Security Solutions also provides the right level of customer support you need for your home or business.

New Grass at Wrigley Field

The Chicago Cubs are still looking for an outfielder to catch and throw on Wrigley's new grass. It would be even better if he bats left-handed. Kosuke Fukudome could do the job, but no one yet knows if he wants to move to the USA.

The Cubs are also still looking at Brian Roberts, a switch-hitting infielder with the Baltimore Orioles. So far, Jim Hendry is only looking. At present, he won't say anything but that.

During the 2007 season, Roberts hit .290 and stole 50 bases. He has the kind of speed that Hendry is hoping to find with an infielder.

Breaking News From The Chicago Cubs

Jim Hendry and crew have acquired right-handed relief pitcher Tim Lahey from Tampa Bay. During his 2007 season with the Twins' Double-A New Britain, Lahey pitched 78 1/3 innings, ended with a record of 8-4, and posted an ERA of 3.45. He struck out 56 and walked 33.

Hendry says that Lahey has a good fastball, sinker, and slider. As Hendry sees it, Lahey has the possibility of making it into the bullpen in the 2008 season. Watch Lahey during spring training

More Nuke News

George Bush never fails to confuse and distress his fellow citizens. Is he stupid, crazy, or evil? Who can tell and does it matter?

First he says Iran poses a threat to the United States because it is developing nuclear weapons. But then our hot-shot spy network reveals that Iran isn't really making nuclear weapons at all.

Most people, if given this evidence, would change their opinion of Iran. No nukes, no foul. But not George.

Now Bush says that Iran remains a threat, not because it has nukes, but because it might have them someday in the future. So George leaves open the possibility that he might launch a war with Iran simply because it might build nukes sometime in the future.

But Burma, Ceylon, and Argentina might have nukes sometime in the future. Every country on earth might have them if you wait long enough. But George doesn't want to wait. He wants to stop Iran because it "might" do something in the future.

The editorial board at New Moon is confused and distressed.

Hendry Searches

Lou Piniella says that Jim Hendry is searching high and low for this or that player who will make the Cub lineup perfect. And if Lou says it's true, who are we to doubt it?

To take one example, Jim is waiting to see if Kosuke Fukudome of Japan decides he wants to play in the United States. Lou says he likes Japanese players because they work hard and they enjoy playing the game.

If Lou likes Japanese players, the editorial staff at New Moon likes them, too. Go get 'em, Jim. The grass at Wrigley Field is growing fast.

Shaman Store

In the ancient shamanic tradition, the healer uses plants such as Ayahuasca to help an individual achieve both physical and spiritual health. But people in the contemporary world may find it difficult to obtain the plants needed to acquire health in this traditional way.

If you are one of the many people who like to achieve health through the use of traditional plant remedies, you should take a look at the variety of plants and other supplies available at iamshaman.com.

The IAmShaman Shop provides the highest-quality plants available, including Sceletium tortuosum, Amanita muscaria, and kratom. In addition to providing a broad variety of plants, the firm also sells organic seeds, incense, candles, and books.

An added benefit to doing business with The IAmShaman Shop is that this firm helps provide a livelihood for the indigenous peoples who live in the rainforests of Brazil, Africa, and elsewhere. By providing a market for the plants grown, the firm helps provide an alternative to destruction of the forests and conversion to pastureland for beef cattle.

At the same time, The IAmShaman Shop always strives to offer high-quality products at low prices.

More Drinking And Driving

Another rich and famous bonehead is headed to the slammer for drunk driving. A California judge sentenced Kiefer Sutherland to 48 days in the Glendale lock-shop Wednesday. All this resulted from an incident on September 25.

Kiefer also has to pay a $510 fine, but he doesn't care. He's rich and famous.

Kiefer is starting to make a habit of this drinking-then-driving business. He was already on probation for doing the same thing in 2004.

Fame and money aren't everything.

Vivica Fox Ready To Rumble

Sometimes things happen slowly in California. On March 20 of this year, Vivica A. Fox was arrested in Los Angeles for driving 80 miles per hour while intoxicated. She says she's not guilty, but it took a long time for her to show up to get booked. It took nine months.

Miz Fox was originally released on her own recognizance. Her lawyer said she'd come back later to get booked.

Many of us have never driven a car at any speed in Los Angeles, but if we did the authorities would probably insist that we show up at the cop shop for booking a little sooner.

But Miz Fox is rich and famous. We ain't.

World Series Tickets

Have you ever tried to get tickets for a baseball game, only to learn that the game is already sold out? That has happened to me more times than I care to remember. And it happened to many people who wanted tickets for the 2007 World Series.

Few people were surprised when the Boston Red Sox made it through the playoffs and won the American League title, but most of us never thought the Colorado Rockies would win the National League pennant and face the Red Sox in the World Series. As usual, many people could not get tickets.

If you find yourself wanting tickets for a baseball game sometime in the future, you might want to take a look at TicketsNow.com. Since 1999, this online firm has provided tickets for a wide variety of sports events. Before you give up in 2008, logon to TicketsNow.com to find your world series tickets.

TicketsNow.com also provides tickets for basketball, football, boxing, and many other sports events. If you prefer to attend a concert or a theater event, take a look at TicketsNow.com. Next time, don’t give up early. Logon to TicketsNow.com.

Britney!

Just when you thought you could forget about Britney Spears and her child-custody dispute, another story hits the daily news. The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services is investigating Britney for child abuse and neglect. If these alleged charges prove true, they will work against Britney in her continuing child-custody battle with Kevin Federline, her ex-husband.

Britney has already lost duel-custody rights because of past convictions for substance abuse. Lawyers for Spears and Federline will renew the battle in court on January 23.

We Need Baseball

In times like these, desperate Americans really need the next baseball season to start today. Wars, scandals, politicians, and brainless entertainers are starting to get on our nerves. In the best interest of our fellow citizens, New Moon brings you a moment of sanity from Wrigley Field.

The Chicago Cubs have acquired right-handed relief pitcher Jose Ascanio from the Atlanta Braves. Ascanio, a native of Venezuela, is 22 years old. He reportedly has good control with his fastball, slider, and changeup. Last season, he pitched in 44 games for Double-A Mississippi, ended the season with an ERA of 2.54. In 78 innings he struck out 77 and walked only 18.

Buy Silver Bars

For many years, individuals have found that real estate was an attractive investment. But at the present moment, real estate appears to be full of risks. High volatility in the stock market also makes that kind of investment look too risky for many people. Some analysts remain bullish. Others urge caution.

Given the many opportunities available to investors, it may be easy to forget that precious metals provide one of the oldest and safest ways of preserving wealth. Silver, gold, and other precious metals are just as desirable now as they were centuries ago.

At present, silver may be especially attractive to investors. Yearly demand for silver now exceeds production. The world’s silver reserves are growing smaller and may soon drop to nothing. Silver is available in either coin or ingot form, and the Monex Deposit Company (MDC) makes it possible for the general public to buy silver bars.

For hundreds of years, people have guarded their wealth by converting it to gold. Many investors like to purchase gold coins such as American eagle coins. One can also purchase gold ingots. In either case, MDC can make it convenient for individuals to purchase gold. Monex also makes it easy to buy other precious metals, such as platinum and palladium.

For over thirty years, MDC has made it safe and easy for investors to purchase precious metals in either coin or ingot form. Monex can provide safe delivery or arrange for secure storage in a bank or depository.

MDC's large professional staff can provide the best service possible to its customers. Regardless of the form the gold or silver takes or the type of storage desired, Monex offers both convenience and competitive prices to all investors.

Did Bush Know?

Here's the latest news from the White House. Bush now says that our chief spy told him last August that he had new info about Iran and its nuclear weapons program. But Bush says no one gave him that news until last week.

Several people, including presidential candidate Joe Biden, don't buy the Bush story. He says the story is "unbelievable." But if it is true, Biden says, Bush ranks with "the most incompetent presidents in modern American history."

In spite of the new intelligence report, Bush says Iran is still a grave threat to the world. Perhaps it is also a threat to the world's oil.

Nukes Or No Nukes?

For longer than I care to remember, Geo. Bush has been telling us that Iran is about to blow us off the map with nuclear weapons. Only six weeks ago, he suggested that we have to stop Iran before it starts World War III.

But now our own National Intelligence Estimate, which states the latest info from 16 spy outfits, says that Iran stopped its bomb program in 2003 and shows no interest in restarting it.

All this raises questions about whether Iran ever had any real interest in nuclear WMDs. Was Iran merely bluffing in order to get something from the U.S.? That's what North Korea did. Who's next?

And will Bush continue to prepare us for war with Iran? Who knows?
