It's quite refreshing when a former C.I.A. agent drops the phony veil of secrecy and tells you what you already knows. That's what ex-spy John Kiriakou did when he described "waterboarding" and then said that the practice is a form of torture.
It's too bad the new attorney general can't see what the rest of us can. I can't explain anything the president and vice-president might say. They use a form of English that wasn't around when I learned how to talk.
