Jim Hendry and crew have acquired right-handed relief pitcher Tim Lahey from Tampa Bay. During his 2007 season with the Twins' Double-A New Britain, Lahey pitched 78 1/3 innings, ended with a record of 8-4, and posted an ERA of 3.45. He struck out 56 and walked 33.
Hendry says that Lahey has a good fastball, sinker, and slider. As Hendry sees it, Lahey has the possibility of making it into the bullpen in the 2008 season. Watch Lahey during spring training
