College Accreditation

No matter where or how you pursue your higher education, you need to make sure that your college or university has the necessary accreditation from the appropriate institutions. If you’re considering an online university, you can take a look at Capella University’s latest Inside Online Education podcast.

This podcast features Dr. Chris Cassirer, dean of Capella University’s School of Human Services. In the podcast, Dr Cassirer points out that Capella is the first online university to have won accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). This accreditation relates specifically to two master’s degree specializations.

The Capella podcasts usually last about 15 minutes. You can find them at http://www.capellacommons.com. Or you can subscribe to them at iTunes. Potential students should also note that Capella University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).
