Sometimes things happen slowly in California. On March 20 of this year, Vivica A. Fox was arrested in Los Angeles for driving 80 miles per hour while intoxicated. She says she's not guilty, but it took a long time for her to show up to get booked. It took nine months.
Miz Fox was originally released on her own recognizance. Her lawyer said she'd come back later to get booked.
Many of us have never driven a car at any speed in Los Angeles, but if we did the authorities would probably insist that we show up at the cop shop for booking a little sooner.
But Miz Fox is rich and famous. We ain't.
