In the first game of the 2007 World Series, Josh Beckett and the rest of the Boston Red Sox made the Colorado Rockies look like what they are, a minor-league team that should never have left the Texas League. All the money in the reactionary Coors family could not prevail over the Red Sox, America's patriotic favorites.
Josh Beckett struck out nine and allowed one run over seven innings as Boston mangled the Rockies 13-1 in the series opener. Dustin Pedroia got things going for the Sox by hitting one out of the yard in the first Boston at-bat. You can't help feeling sorry for the over-matched Denver players, but when you work for the Coors family billionaires, that's what you get.
Someone at the Murdox Australian Fox TV Network forgot to tell the announcers to root for the Rox. They called a good game.
