Conspiracy buffs take note. The Vatican will publish eight hundred copies of the papal investigation into comings and goings of the Knights Templar, a medieval military order of the Church. The investigation took place between 1307 and 1312 and found the Templars not guilty of heresy.
Before you run out and buy a copy, take a look at the price tag. The facsimile edition sells for $8000. You'll also have to refresh your memory of Latin if you actually intend to read the report.
The Knights Templar have provided a great deal of fodder for conspiracy theorists over the years. Many accounts have stated that the Knights had possession of the Holy Grail, the chalice used at the Last Supper. No proof of this claim has ever appeared to the editors of New Moon.
