Minor-League Drug Abuse

Scott Taylor, a pitcher with the Class-A Daytona Cubs, has tested positive for drug abuse. Under the rules of the minor leagues, he will be suspended for 50 games at the beginning of the 2008 season.

For the 2007 season, the right-hander acquired a record of 4-11 with an ERA of 5.74.

The Daytona Cubs are part of the Florida State League.

Twenty-six players were suspended this year under minor-league rules for drug abuse.
