Brewers Lose and Cubs Win

Ryan Dempster looked shaky in the bottom of the ninth inning, but then played his part in a remarkable double play to end the game 3-2 in favor of the Cubbies. The series with Houston now stands at 1-1. The Cubs play the Astros again tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Brewers did the Cubs a favor and lost to Pittsburgh. Once again, the Cubs and Brewers are locked in a dead heat for first place in the NL Central Division. The Brewers will have the day off tomorrow.

Down in St. Louis, the Cardinals showed some stuff not long ago, but have now lost six in a row and find themselves four games behind the leaders.
