Last Game at Wrigley Field

The Chicago Cubs demolished the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-0 Sunday. Fiery Carlos Zambrano won his 17th game, although he left after six innings because of cramps in his right forearm.

Kerry Wood then pitched two innings. His fastball seems to improve with every game. He allowed no hits and one base on balls. He struck out three. The crowd began chanting his name as soon as he started to pitch. He did not disappoint that crowd.

Derrek Lee and Ronny Cedeno provided much of the offensive support, each driving in three runs with a homer.

This was the last game at Wrigley Field for the regular season. The fans didn't really want to leave. They just stood there and savored the victory. Then Ryan Theriot and his little boy walked around the outfield.

It was a nice day for a game at Wrigley Field.
