Brewers Win!

It was bound to happen. The Cubs lost and the Brewers won. The Cubs have therefore slipped out of first place.

These events reveal the inherent weakness of Cub strategy of late. The Cubs have assumed that they could remain at the top of the NL Central Division by losing games. They reasoned that every time they lost, the Brewers would lose. And this has usually been true.

But you can't win by losing all season long. Someone will start winning, and you'll get left behind like some really dreadful team such as Houston or Tampa Bay.

Guess what? The Cubs must learn that the only way to win is by winning.
