The Closer

The Cubs now have three strong candidates for the job of closer--Kerry Wood, Bob Howry, and Carlos Marmol. Marmol seemed invincible last season, until he got into the post-season games. Questions remain about how healthy Wood's arm will be. Howry got off to a slow start last year, but recorded an ERA of 1.85 in the second half of the season. It will be difficult to choose from among those three. Lou Piniella and his cohorts have a hard decision to make.
