At the end of his first season with the Cubs, Ted Lilly is ready to pitch against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 2 of the National League Division Series. He has a record of 15-8 and an ERA of 3.83.
Lilly pitched one game against the Diamondbacks during the regular season. Doug Davis pitched for Arizona in that game, which the Cubs lost 3-1. We can only hope for a better result in Thursday's game.

Lilly Ready for Phillies
Following the Cubs 6-0 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday, Ted Lilly is ready to take on the Philadelphia Phillies in today's game at Wrigley Field.
For July, Lilly has a record of 5-0 and an ERA of 1.83.
In the Central Division, the Cubs now trail the Brewers by 0.5 games.
In spite of the current Cub winning streak, some fans continue to worry about the Cubs low production of home runs. New Moon does not worry about this. Singles win ball games, not homers.

Ted Lilly
Ted Lilly is ready to take on the Cardinals in game two of the three-game series in St. Louis. For the month of July, Lilly is 4-0 with an ERA of 1.98. He has not lost a game since June 5.
Once again, the Cubs will be happy to have Derrek Lee back at first base and in the batter's box. Lee got two hits and an RBI Tuesday night.
The game starts at Busch Stadium at 7:10 Central Time. WGN TV will carry the game live.

Ted Lilly
With a record of 8-4 and an ERA of 3.67, pitcher Ted Lilly will lead the Cubs into this afternoon's game with the Houston Astros. Lilly's last win came on July 7, when he vanquished the Pirates.
Prior to the game, Lou Piniella was heard making hopeful statements about the present home stand. "We've worked hard to get ourselves in position," he said, "and we need to play well here."
The editorial team at New Moon thoroughly endorses this opinion. Moreover, we would like to see the Cubs play well everywhere and all the time.
We need to win some games in order to finish above .500. Ted Lilly, please throw strikes.

Give Credit to the Cubbies
The Cubs looked good with the win against the Chicago White Sox today. Let's give credit where credit is due. The Cubs don't often give us the chance.
Barrett hit the ball instead of Pierzynski. Angel Pagan fouled up while running the bases, but hit a crucial triple in the seventh inning. Ted Lilly pitched a good game. And Ryan Dempster looked like a perfect machine as he closed the ninth.
Great job, guys. Give us something to cheer about tomorrow.
